5-fold heart of a Kingdom vision-purpose

Recommended Posts

God loves to be worshipped.

God wants to be known.

God wants to possess.

God has a purpose for whatever He does.

*For every vision/purpose/mandate that He gives, there is a divine purpose.  There is a purpose for the purpose.

*Every leader is shaped by vision.  The key to remaining true to the vision is in understanding the desire of God in that purpose.

Every vision which has its origin from God has a 5-fold purpose (heart):

  1. To worship God,
  2. To serve Him,
  3. To reflect Him.
  4. To possess for Him, and
  5. To rule with Him.

Maintain the big picture to keep focus; don’t be distracted by phases.

Worship

Everybody worships somebody or something - consciously or unconsciously.  Human beings are generally worshippers.

Noun; Great devotion: excessive love, admiration and respect felt for somebody or something

Verb; Love somebody deeply: to love, admire or respect somebody or something greatly and perhaps excessively or unquestioningly.                                                                               -To treat somebody or something as a deity and show respect.

Worship has to do with honor: giving Him the honor due Him.  It is acknowledging that He is who He says He is and He deserves your attention and recognition.

Worship is not just word in a song or after a song; it is a lifestyle.  Your walk, your talk and even your work should honor God.  You do it with an attitude of worship.

Col.3:17, And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Serve.

This has to do with enforcing His will.

We serve Him as we serve His people; the people are the work.

Prepare yourself to be an effective minister.  Don’t just wait for things to happen, prepare yourself. Equip yourself; add value to yourself and to your message.

Always remember: opportunity meets with preparation!

Can God count on you?  Can He call upon you to do something?

2Ti 4:2, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Reflecting Him

This has to do with manifesting His image; showing Him forth; making Him known.

It means that when you show up, He shows up!  When you show up, the Deliverer shows up!

Ps 82:6, I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Jn.15:5, I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

God wants you to manifest Him: that’s why He called you and placed you where you are.

You are in that job to manifest God and His Kingdom.  Manifest His excellence, diligence, love, power, mercy, wisdom, goodness, peace, joy etc.

To manifest Him, you must know Him.  To know Him:

  1. Seek Him tirelessly and fervently in prayer and Word.  Hunger for Him and seek Him
  2. Separate yourself to Him.  You can’t be all over and with Him.  Find time alone with Him
  3. Encounter Him personally.  You manifest what you see.

Possessing

God is in the business of recovering everything and restoring it to its rightful place.

We are meant to gain ground for God where we are- all things belong to God!

Ps.24:1, The earth is the LORD'S, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

Wear a territorial mentality not a local mindset-you have been sent to the city NOT to a local church.  You are God’s representative in that place.

Jos. 1:11, "Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, 'Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess."

Ruling

This has to do with dominating through Kingdom values and principles.

It is subjecting the people and the environment to the higher values of the Kingdom of God.

God wants you to subdue and have dominion where you are: exercise authority- divine authority.

Take charge where you are!

In order to reign:

  1. Maintain intimacy with God.
  2. Submit your self to the rules, principles and values of the Kingdom of God
  3. Know all you should in your area of dominion.  Be a student of your field
  4. Stay ahead.  Prepare yourself in advance.
  5. Discern opportunities and provide solutions. Cultivate a solution mentality.
  6. Invest in others.  Share the knowledge you have with them, serve them etc.
